Dorian Gray (aka Moreno from Italy) takes his name from the infamous Oscar Wilde character who trades his soul for an eternal life of sinful debauchery.
And indeed the heady world of underground club music can sometimes feel like this! The intensity of this dark concept is expertly weaved into the deep techno sound of Dorian Gray where Moreno keeps a strong focus on meticulous ambient loops moving into hypnotic techno rhythms. Moreno’s early influences hark back to the dark electronic 80s new wave sound but there are also jazz influences which have helped him coin the descriptive term of “afro-futurist techno”. Production work aside, (noteworthy his last outing with Edit Select Remix), Moreno firmly states that his first love is DJing where he continues to push forward, proving his talent through winning competitions and taking on various booking across Europe, in his native Italy and trips to his home from home, Berlin. El tercer podcast para Northern Block lo firma el veterano Dj y productor de la escena techno madrileña Dj Muerto bajo su alias Arcanoid.Bajo su pseudónimo se esconde Luis Cantalapiedra, pionero a finales de los 80 de las sesiones techno en la capital, recordado por su residencia en la sala Voltereta y su participación junto a Oscar Mulero en el proyecto Altered State.
Dj Muerto es uno de los grandes protagonistas de la historia electrónica estatal, en activo desde finales de los ochenta y en plena forma como demuestran sus últimas referencias en su nuevo sello ØDIØ, también publicando en sellos como Semantica o Transhuman.

Hoy os presentamos el segundo podcast para Northern Block del artista italiano The Noisemaker, actualmente editando en sellos como M_rec, Raw Waxes, Silent Steps y remezclado por artistas de la talla de Mike Parker, Inigo Kennedy, Conrad Van Orton entre otros.
Riccardo was born in 1987 in Treviso, a town near Venice.
He had his first approach with electronic music at the age of 11. A simple interest turns into something more at the age of 14, when he starts performing his DJ sets. In 2007, after a few appearances at some local clubs and underground parties, he decides to turn his attention towards the construction of a Live Set, without however omitting the charm of vinyls in his DJ sets. From 2009 onwards, you can find several works on various labels under the name The Noisemaker. He is currently working with labels such as M_rec, Raw Waxes, Wood n Bass, Silent Steps and Par. In his LiveSet he brings out an hypnotic and aggressive atmosphere accompanied by acid and mental beats.
In 2010, feels the need to deepen his knowledge in the arts and decided to enroll in the course of New Technologies for the Arts Academy of Venice.

Responsable y dueño de Psychoskunk Recordings, productor musical, ingeniero de sonido y Dj, todo un referente de la escena techno en el norte de España, con una carrera profesional que abarca más de 15 años a su espalda, ha recorrido míticos clubs en toda Europa, desarrollando así un estilo único y personal e investigando y profundizando en diversos subgéneros de la música electrónica.
